Start our trip from Arusha, which is beautifully located on the slope of Mt. Meru and is a perfect place to prepare for your adventure.

We will meet at even in the hotel for a climb briefing and an equipment check.

We recommend you check with your doctors and bring with you all the necessary medication advised by your doctors and don’t forget to apply for the visa and travel insurance.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Arusha Bed, dinner, and Breakfast are not included.

DAY 1: MERIAKAMBA HUT 

We pick you up from the hotel at 7:30-8:00 AM and drive from Arusha to Momela Gate for registration.  walking will begin with a full-armed ranger your personal guide and your support grew and your chef will be ahead of you for dinner preparation. Luckily we will be able to sight wild animals including elephants, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, and antelopes, and often elephants can be seen on the route.

Dinner and overnight night at Miriakamba Hut with Elevation of (1,387 m to (1,500 m), also Elevation in ft. are: 4,921 ft.) to 3,000 ft.), Distance: 10 km Hiking for 4-6 hours enjoy the Montane Forest habitat. 

DAY 2: SADDLE HUT 

From Miriakamba Hut to the saddle hut which is below Little Meru are a short day and steep climb.

We will be walking lowly (pole along the ridge and enjoying the spectacular view of the Meru Crater and the impressive Ash Cone.

We will have hot lunch at Saddle Hut, then we can take a short climb to the summit of Little Meru (3,820m) for acclimatization and get to see the amazing sunset view.

Dinner and overnight night at Saddle Hut with an Elevation of 2,514 m to 3,570 m (Elevation (in ft.): 8,250 ft. to 11,712 ft.) and 8 km

The waking distance will take 3-5 hours today we will enjoy Forest and Moorland habitats. 

DAY 3: SUMMIT DAY 

Early starts around 1:30 AM for summit night, passing Rhino Point (3,800 m.) it’s kind of steep hiking and Cobra Point (4350m). We estimate to reach the summit (4,566 m) before sunrise with the possibility to see Kilimanjaro Peak rising above the clouds. The final part of the climb is a spectacular narrow ridge line between the sheer inner cliffs and the sloping outer wall of the crater.

Starting Descent to Saddle Hut for short rest and Bruch before continuing descending to the Miriakamba Hut with an Elevation of 3,570 m to 4,565m to 2,514m walking Distance is 5 km up 13 km down total hiking Time today is: 10 – 12 hours getting to pass both Alpine Desert, Moorland, and Montane forest habitat 

DAY 4: MERIAKAMBA TO MOMELLA GATE 

The last day of hiking Mount Meru is a short and fast descent through open grassland and mixed forest, with a great possibility of seeing wildlife before reaching Momela Gate before noon. 

Our Driver will be waiting at Momela gate to pick us up at the hotel. starting Elevation of: 2,514 m to 1,500 m to 1,387 m

Also Elevation from 4,921 ft. to 8,250 ft. to 4,921ft and a walking distance of 10 km with approximately 2-4 hours. Enjoying the last day of Montane Forest habitats. 

Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Arusha.  Bed, dinner, and Breakfast are not included.

DAY 5: DEPART ARUSHA 

Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport, private departure transfer is not included.

Safety

Your safety, Success, and happiness are our drives. We will do everything at our best level to make sure you reach the summits of Mount Meru safely and sound. We are also prepared for any urgent situation and have in place a complete evacuation procedure in case of any altitude sickness. We carry first aid supplies and Pulse Oximeters). I courage you again to make sure you consult with your doctors before hiking Mount Meru and have your Travel insurance before leaving your country or attempting to hike any mountains. 

All customers traveling with us are recommended to have fully comprehensive travel insurance. The policy needs to be valid from the date that the initial order is placed so as to provide cover for a cancellation prior to departure.

 During travel, the insurance needs to provide comprehensive medical, evacuation, and repatriation coverage.
